Telesma
Das Wort „Telesmata“ ist ein griechischer Begriff, der „Talismane“ bedeutet. Ein telesmatisches Bild ist eine Darstellung einer Gottheit oder eines Engels, die vom Magier bewusst erschaffen wird. Die Energie, die in das telesmatische Bild eingebracht wird, nennt man „Telesma“; sie ist die Kraft, die zur Aktivierung und Aufladung des Bildes dient.
Ein telesmatisches Bild ist eine Darstellung, die nach einem festgelegten System von Entsprechungen konstruiert wird. Dieses Bild wird anschließend geweiht und aufgeladen, um einen bestimmten Zweck zu erfüllen. Das aufgeladene Bild wandelt sich zu einer heiligen Ikone – einem kraftvollen, lebendigen Symbol der Kraft, die es repräsentiert.
Das Bild der Gottheit kann gezeichnet oder gemalt werden, um als eigenständiger physischer Talisman zu dienen, oder es kann schlicht auf der Astralebene visualisiert werden, um einem Talisman Kraft und Energie zu verleihen.

Wörtlich heißt es: The word telesmata is a Greek term which means "talismans." A telesmatic image is an image of a deity or angel that is consciously constructed by the magician. The energy that is put into the telesmatic image is known as telesma. It is the force used to activate and charge the image. A telesmatic image is an illustration constructed according to a predetermined set of correspondences. This image is then consecrated and charged to achieve a specific purpose. The charged image becomes a sacred icon - a powerful living symbol of the force it represents. The image of the angel may be drawn or painted to serve as a physical talisman in its own right, or it may be simply envisioned on the astral plane to give power and energy to a talisman consecration ritual.
